Event Description:
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men and domestic victimization is correlated with a higher rate of depression and suicidal behavior.
Many victims of domestic violence may become paralyzed by fear, shame, or guilt and may not recognize that there IS hope for them. In this free program, we will have a panel of professionals speaking about the different ways for victims to recognize the abuse, discover forms of recourse and find ways to recover.
