Bus Trip: Thornton Quarry Tour

If you have ever been interested in taking a tour of one of the largest commercial stone quarries in the world and would like to view the overall structure of a fossil reef - the most famous of the several 410-million-year-old reefs unearthed in the Chicago area - then this is the tour for you! The tour takes approximately two and a half to tree hours. Fee includes transportation and tour.
