Event Description:
The Village of New Lenox is excited to host Cruise the Commons again this summer!
These cruise night events will offer residents and visitors the opportunity bring their cars, trucks, Jeeps, and bikes and put them on display in the Village Commons. Cruise the Commons will take place on the third Tuesday of the month from June through September:
- Tuesday, June 15 (5:00-8:00 p.m.), featuring music by Worth the Risk
- Tuesday, July 20 (5:00-8:00 p.m.), featuring music by CK & The Gray
- Tuesday, August 17 (5:00-8:00 p.m.), featuring music by Hard Vinyl
- Tuesday, September 21 (5:00-8:00 p.m.), featuring music by Wavelength
We encourage all interested drivers to bring out their vehicles! A map with details on entry and parking for participating vehicles will be shared prior to the first event. There is no fee to participate. Vehicles of all makes and models are welcome, and registration is not required. There are no awards planned for this event.
Admission
Admission to this event is free. Guests of all ages are permitted.
Parking
A portion of Veterans Parkway will be closed during this event to accommodate the event activities.
Parking is available in the south lot of the Village Hall and at Trinity Services. Parking will be available at Old Plank Trail Community Bank after 5:00 p.m.
The New Lenox Public Library is open during this event. Please help us to treat our neighbor with respect by leaving their parking lot open for library patrons. We appreciate your courtesy.
Accessible parking is available in the Village Hall loading dock, located on the west side of the Village Hall.
Food & Beverage
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale from the concession stand courtesy of the New Lenox Community Park District. Food trucks will also be on site at each event. Participating trucks will be posted as they are confirmed.
Additional Policies
No smoking is permitted on the Village Commons lawn during Village events. No pets are permitted in the Village Commons during Village events. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and encouraged.
