Senior Healthy Aging Fair
“One Fall Can Change It All”
An Awareness Event In Support Of National Older Adults Falls Prevention Day
The Village of New Lenox and the New Lenox Safe Communities America Coalition, in partnership with the New Lenox VFW, are hosting a Senior Healthy Aging Fair on Thursday September 19, 2019 from 9:00am to 11:30am. A FREE Continental Breakfast will be provided for seniors attending the event, which will be held at the New Lenox VFW, 323 Old Hickory Road in New Lenox.
In addition to the FREE breakfast, sponsored by UChicago Medicine @ Ingalls Memorial, there will be a number of other activities that seniors can take advantage of. FREE balance screenings, flu & pneumonia shots, blood pressure checks, medication reviews, hearing screenings, and information about a variety of services for seniors will be available. For some fun and excitement, there will be exercise demonstrations and a chance to win some excellent door prizes too!
The Healthy Aging Fair will also feature Yvette Johnson, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, UChicago Medicine @ Ingalls Memorial, who will present “Transitioning Thru Life” from 11:00am to 11:30am.
