We Can Make A Difference
NEW TOYS FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER
T.E.A.M. Asset and the Lincoln-Way Community are joining the campaign for the collection of fun, new items for children and teens hospitalized with cancer. These young patients, who often face daylong chemotherapy treatments and much longer inpatient stays, so appreciate the opportunity to pick a small gift from the treasure chest after their treatments. These items bring a little joy to an otherwise difficult experience. 45 treatment centers nationwide (a number that has grown every year) will benefit from these contributions to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation.
Please keep in mind that the mission of the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation is to provide these toddlers to 18-year-olds with treasure chest items such as new toys, books, crafts, accessories and gift certificates (fast food, movie, mall, etc). All items must be new and unwrapped. We encourage gifts from the "Dollar Store", as well as unopened "kids meal" toys. Please - NO stuffed animals!
Drop off will be at Lincoln-Way Central on Friday, March 8th. Contact Mr. Waddell with any questions at dwaddell@lw210.org or Call 815-462-2994
Many, many thanks for these gifts from the heart!
